CENTRAL ILLINOIS JUDICIAL MEDIATION, LLC

Judge Cudmore served as U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Central District of Illinois. He was sworn in to his position on the Federal Bench September 1, 1997 and retired February 7, 2014. Currently, he runs Central Illinois Judicial Mediation.

 

Judge Cudmore was in private practice from 1995-1997 and concentrated his practice in both civil litigation and criminal defense.

 

Judge Cudmore worked in the Springfield, Illinois U.S. Attorney’s Office from 1986-1995 as both First Assistant and U.S. Attorney. He also served eight years as an Assistant State's Attorney in both Sangamon County and Jackson County, Illinois.

 

Judge Cudmore was President of the Sangamon County Bar Association in 1990, as well as President of the Lincoln-Douglas American Inn of Court in 1999.

 

Judge Cudmore is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1974) and Southern Illinois University of Law (1977).

 

Judge Cudmore was born in Canada and is a naturalized U.S. Citizen. He lives in Springfield, IL and Santa Rosa Beach, FL with his wife, Christine.
